IMHO SFOR won't exist in 18 months. It will be bought out by one of the heavies like TPG. The only thing stopping them is the dark ALICE 101 cloud overhanging our IP. Once Congress blows that cloud away, SFOR will be bought out. The exact timing of this sadly is up to US Senators & Representatives. They have to do their legislative job first before a buyout can happen. With such a polarized climate in DC this is problematic.
