I'm from the Midwest, but have done lots of driving in CA. We'll look into Monterrey, thanks for the recommendation. This SIGO visit is being added to an already planned epic road trip with the family - basically its a treat for me for doing most of the driving. 
I'm definitely interested in seeing how SIGO has adapted to the CA market. I'm sure their plans have changed many, many times in the face of so much change and uncertainty.
