There was 400k shares the entire day before that v

Once I see it went to 41 to 42.5c back to 41c, image below. That was probably selling through csti. If you put say 50k shares to sell at 41c, and then someone buys 3k shares, csti will take those shares off l2 for a few seconds, and reduce the shares to 47k. During those seconds, someone could buy from the next seller, which was at 42.5c. Knowing this when I trade OTC stock, I will put a sell order above csti just in case someone puts in a market order, it hits csti for a couple thousand shares, knocking them off l2, they buys off me. Something when buying, if I'm using csti on the bid, I will put a second bid below in with cdel or nite or whoever, in the same case, someone selling 1k shares, the bids disappears for a second, and then they sell to the bid lower.
That is how by the way I know the 6c trade was wrong, I had two bids in by different MMs showing on l2 to catch any quick crash due to this issue of the MM dropping off l2 for a second to reset.
Another way the price jumps and drops back. Say two people have orders through cdel to sell, one at 41c and another at 42c. When the 41c gets taken out, it takes cdel a few seconds to put in the 42c order on l2. During those few seconds someone could buy above 42c. If you have every had an buy order in and some shares sold below your price, that is what happened, which is why I use to two MM method when buying or selling.
