Let's try a hypothetical. Let's suppose someone put in an order for shares and was filled with a partial of 7 shares at $7.60. OK. That would mean that someone put those shares out there and the order was filled. Cool. Our hypothetical buyer has a bargain and they have stopped shorty from putting together 100 shares to take the share price down. They are doing two really good things. Getting shares and stopping shorty from getting shares. This person gets it. Many do not. I for one thank this person and congratulate them on their fill. He has helped himself and everyone else who is here. Placing an order for shares at $900.00 per share gets you shares at $7.60 if they are available. The law says they must sell at the cheapest price available. You can't help then you can hold. Keep what you own in a safe place.
