Long Post for Investors (redflix S3E11) Wanted
Post# of 32635
Wanted to share my perspective on Rory's video he shared on Monday. Was going to wait until the weekend, but didn't want to wait too long and people would say, what video?
There was anchor on the local news for years that would give a perspective live from his own office on the 10PM news. This started many, many years ago and he did it for many years to follow. As you can imagine, this caused quite a controversy.
Why is that you might wonder?
Back then, newscasters weren't suppose to think. Just read.
Fast forward today, everyone has an opinion, a perspective all over the media
How do you define perspective?
How do you lose it?
How do you gain it back?
By those around you?
If so, who do you surround yourself with?
Is that saying true or not?
You are, the average of the five people, you spend the most time with
Think about that
Most time with
Does that include messageboards and twitter?
Eeewwww!
If so, I know where I want to hangout and where I don't
Trust in yourself
In your own analysis
Not my analysis
Your own analysis
Your own you
In a world that is all about me, me, me
Forget about the me generation
How about you?
A better you?
Q: Did Rory mean me or you?
A: Heck I don't know. He was looking at you in the video, not me
“Trust yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to trust yourself to get anything done in this world.”
– Redspeed
OK, I borrowed Lucille Ball's quote about love, but it applies to trust as well
Trust yourself
Might as well, your stuck with yourself for a very long time anyway if you are lucky
Rory talked about some people thinking this journey wouldn't be this hard
Well if it was easy, everyone would do it
I talked about odds
Every naysayer said the $20M public offering, uplisting to the NASDAQ, acquistion would never happen
Never, ever happen
Spent >1% of their lives trying to convince others it was <1% chance
Think about that, greater than 1% of their lives
Why would they spend that much time on something they hate?
They said, "Trust me, it ain't gonna happen"
In the same breath, they would say the $20M public offering, uplisting to the NASDAQ and acquisition was already factored in
Well, how could something that ain't going to happen, be already factored in?
Spinning, flipping the BS both way by the same people is too obvious
How about being your own you?
A better you?
Not controlled or influenced by others that have their own agenda
BTW, OTC called and left a message
They're really, really having a hard time about the break up
Want us to come back
They didn't lose their perspective, they never had one of their own
What they did lose is their purpose
Only knew of one stock to trade and now it's gone
There's no escaping reason, no denying purpose, for as we both know, without purpose they would not exist
Some want it tomorrow and get very upset when they can't have it
For every agent smith you battle, there are another dozen running through the door
Their game was to confuse, cause doubt and get investors to lose perspective
To ultimately have faith no more
I've always had a clear perspective, but the day I blocked out all the other nonsense, it became even clearer
Not a little, a lot
Try it
Block the negativity today and trust in your ability to do your own DD
When you do, you'll understand what will happen this year
If you don't you might just run around saying revenues will be $0 or a $1B dollars with no basis and not realizing it took Snapchat 8 years to get there and they are still losing more $$$ than their revenue. Got a nice Market Cap though
Snap Inc
Market Cap: $14.41 billion
FY18 Revenue: $1.18 billion
FY18 Loss: $1.25 billion
MC = x12 Revenues
Can you feel it, see it, hear it today?
If you can't, then it doesn't matter anyway
You will never understand it 'cause it happens too fast
Epic...
