Beto O'Rourke's Dire Climate Change Warning
On "The Five" Tuesday, Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters sounded off on a dire climate change warning from 2020 presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke.
The former Texas congressman proposed a $5 trillion plan to combat climate change, warning that the country has only 10 years left to take action on the issue.
"If someone calls you on the phone and says you're going to die in 10 years unless you give me all your money, that's a scam," Watters said. "He's a scam artist, and everybody knows it."
He said O'Rourke is pushing his plan because he feels "guilty" about the success of the U.S. economy, bolstered by the oil and gas industry through the years.
"Beto, who's done nothing except lose to Ted Cruz, comes up and says I'm going to take $5 trillion and I'm going to reverse everything and change it all. He's no Einstein, he's no Carnegie. Where does he get off thinking he's going to stop human progress?" Watters asked.
