Not only are new requirements coming to the US for PCI compliance through FirstData/BankofAmerica, But the European requirements are due for implementation by Sept as this Notice below shows:
"Adapt to new European regulation
upcoming regulation ....
In September 2019 , a new European regulatory requirement known as Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) will take effect.
If you sell to customers based in Europe, two-factor authentication will be required for many payments. Learn more about SCA and the new products we’ve built to help minimize the impact on your conversion."
