I also use chrome on my phone instead of the app. Not just to be able to thumb good posts up but also because last mo the the app sucked up all my monthly data for some reason . Some bug I guess.

I do not know if giving thumbs up has some effect on the visibility of the good posts but when I see one, I like to thumb it up anyway (lol, not sure it's proper English ^^)
