Long Post for Investors (redflix S3E07) Always
Post# of 32642
Always loved a good storyteller
Like joke tellers as well
Art of the setup, timing and storytelling
I suck at all of that, but redflix is a free show so I don't have to refund much coin
Was thinking about people living from one paycheck to the next
You know why currency exchanges exist?
Many people don't even have a bank account where they can deposit their paycheck. That is a fact.
I remember those days
How to pay the rent? Story I know too well
I didn't have a job when I moved out and got my first apartment
Yup, kind of backwards but what's a young whippersnapper to do?
Sitting in my basement apartment, errr, I mean, garden view apartment, something clicked
How am I going to pay the rent?
I got nothing to sleep on but the rug
Hey redspeed, maybe you should have figure that one out ahead of time with your great DD, ya think?
Thanks but Al Gore didn't yet invent the internet. That came later.
This was before Direct Sales and ride sharing jobs too where you could pick up a little income as a safety net or a full-time job
Mentioned I saw the Stream app
How the heck did that happen?
You'd be surprised what you can find by doing a little DD
I find "stuff" everyday
I am amazed at the DD people here are doing and what they can find
That is a positive, proactive approach to investing rather than wasting time venting that no one wants to hear or trying to "trick" people as you short or trade
If someone thinks I'm thrilled about the sp, guess again. But I can see where this is going and realize a season is not won or lost on one series
Everyone's risk tolerance is different and that is why there are plenty of investments to chose from
Trying to remember if I ever put my money in a CD years ago. Probably. Now that is safe investment and I was happy. My mother-in-law swears by CDs
There does seem to be a direct correlation between investment comfort level and DD
And I don't mean DD derived from message boards
How do I know?
Read the feedback from the investors that were in NY. Seems like a happy bunch. I wasn't there, but I can imagine how it went.
About the "stuff" found. Whether you share your own DD or not, always, let the company make the announcements like they did with Stream. I was excited about this one.
Verb Adds Market Leader Stream Energy to Growing Client Roster

Not every company will let you PR their name. If you go back to August and then to a later S-1/A, how many companies did SC add. Note, none of them have been PR'd.
From Stream's website:
Stream is a top 20 Direct Sales company in North America
Over $8 billion in revenue
Hundreds of millions paid to Direct Sales Associates
Signup $199
Optional StreamPro $24.95/mo
This is their direct sales website where you can learn more about the company watching a few videos: https://mystream.com/
When I was looking for the link a while back, I was surprised it was a direct sales company. I first found the link, I opened it for a second and said, that's not it and moved on as they sell gas, electric, etc thinking it was like my gas company. Went back when I remembered it was Stream "Energy".
Makes you think about what a direct sales company can be. What can't you sell directly. Surely not everything, but who'd a thunk, electric and more?
I know you were worried about my job situation and paying the rent many years ago. Turns out I had 3 jobs within a week working 7 days a week and about 16 hours a day. Amazing the energy when you are young. I had that Rory type ironman energy back in the days.
Figuring only true longs would get this far
So glad you made it, I opened you one...
Here's the Stream app demoed by a Stream employee. Only touched on a portion of the app but one of the best demos I've seen as you are hearing it from the customer.
For those that don't know what a drip campaign is and was wondering about my post earlier today, you'll get it after seeing this 10 minute video. To do this manually by emailing people would not be a job I want.
As I said, I can't see how a direct sales company would be productive without the VERB app.
For those wondering why he didn't show more. Remember most people's attention span is a few minutes. What he showed is priceless. A view from a VERB customer.
Don't bother downloading as you need to be a Stream user to sign in.
This app will help people pay their rent and maybe one day get a Mercedes too.
Mercedes didn't sponsor the event where the app was launched a few weeks ago out of compassion.
