"Companies also maintain higher share prices through reverse stock splits as many institutional investors and mutual funds have policies against taking positions in a stock whose price is below a minimum value. Even if a company remains free of delisting risk by the exchange, its failure to qualify for purchase by such large-sized investors mars its trading liquidity and reputation".
Rocky Mountain High Brands will now be able to secure much better financing and attract large investors/investment groups that previously would not invest due to the bloated share structure.
More conventional financing is critical to proceed with the major expansion that's under way now, without the need for diluting the hell out of the stock.
Unfortunately, a very large percentage of the dilution that led to this split was needed for legal costs related to the pursuit of justice against certain no longer associated parties , and even more resulted from delays directly related to complications/distractions resulting from the fraud perpetrated against the company.
They were victorious in court and are turning this company around. The RS is a major step forward in that process. IMHO, we'll see near term news that'll show exactly how much investors stand to benefit from this strategic move.
