Well said Redspeed. I was one of those shareholders there yesterday. Like you and the other Mods, I now have my own set of stories from the day, one’s I won’t soon forget. I now understand the priceless gifts I have been given as you and Maui, and NT, and Z have been touting throughout the past year or so. PRICELESS!!!! I soon travel back home loaded with an enhanced sense of optimism (not that mine ever waned) and enthusiasm towards getting to watch Verb blossom. Additionally, like your cohorts who seemed to solidify after jointly experiencing the Oracle conference, we have a new set of investors (of which I am included) who shared the Bell Ringing together and have quickly become brothers and sisters thru shared experience.
The gifts I talk about above are not that I heard anything you all have not heard or that has not been made public, via the appropriate process, while I spent an entire day with the folks of Verb and SC, that is way too short sighted! They are the fact that I was able to first hand, in person, witness the drive and passion the entire staff has, from top to bottom, when discussing all things Verb and how committed they are to our investment. I talked to everyone I could throughout the day. Maybe I misspoke. I “listened” to everyone I could. Much better. I did not pepper them with questions about our underwriter, or stock price, or projections. My intent was not to have them feel like I was pumping them for info, as I truly was not. Rather, my intent was to find out what these individuals were like as humans since we only get a quick glimpse through the videos. There was not one conversation I had where I walked away wondering why this person was involved in my investment. In fact, quite the opposite is true....thank the stars these folks are involved in my investment. Old news to you folks as you have a year of having these gifts to yourselves for the past year. Not any longer, you have to share.
As part of the days events, we were treated to a wonderful dinner with the entire crew. We sat at one long table, Thanksgiving style. There were several speeches from leaders of Verb and SC and then they went around the entire table and allowed each person to briefly speak. I was humbled and spoke briefly of the passion I witnessed, their generosity, and my sincere appreciation. The theme of “family” resonated with me and was brought up countless times throughout from people from both parties. It was noted by one of the speakers that investors were part of this family and had a large seat at the table, literally and figuratively. That struck a very positive chord.
I travel back home today from one family to another with a new passion for our investment. I also travel home caring less where our investment sits today and feeling somewhat immune to the sting of these past few weeks pps action. For I have seen what you have seen, maybe walked in your shoes for a brief moment, and have never, ever been more satisfied in my investment. Completely my opinion only.
A parting note is that another gift I was given was finally being able to meet several of the shareholders I have been chatting with for the past year, or listening to in this forum. Again, truly amazing! Many thanks for all your warmth and stories, and many thanks for sharing this with me, and I truly look forward to the next time.
