GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. and SAN FRANCISCO, April 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In response to the complexity of managing operations data in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, IT monitoring integration innovator Blue Medora today announced general availability of its BindPlane for Google Stackdriver service and new log monitoring capabilities. Blue Medora is at Google Cloud Next ‘19 in San Francisco at booth S1661.

The partnership between Blue Medora and Google Cloud now brings to market an embedded Monitoring-Integration-as-a-Service, at no additional licensing cost to Stackdriver customers. Blue Medora BindPlane also now includes preview access to a new log streaming capability, that simplifies extending Stackdriver’s observability to enterprise customer data centers and other public clouds.

“In our most recent Voice of the Enterprise Digital Pulse: Budgets and Outlook survey, 62% of respondents said their organizations operate in a hybrid IT environment, with integrated on-premises and off-premises deployments,” said Nancy Gohring, senior analyst, infrastructure and application performance for 451 Research. “Such businesses typically tell us that they prefer an observability tool that delivers insight into both cloud and on-premises workloads because such tools can help operations professionals more quickly pinpoint the root cause when problems occur.”

“As observability emerges as a critical capability in the enterprise, operations data can no longer be thought of as a second-class citizen if we want performance answers quickly,” said Mike Kelly, chief technology officer at Blue Medora. “BindPlane’s log stream takes an innovative approach to logs, one that makes more sense for observability platforms like Stackdriver supporting use cases like performance optimization or security.”

Stackdriver brings together application performance tracing, logs, and infrastructure monitoring functions into a single tool. The addition of BindPlane unlocks a real-time, dimensional data stream to as many as 150 operations data sources that support monitoring:

  • on-premises infrastructure.
  • non-GCP public cloud resources including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and IBM Cloud.
  • critical workloads and databases on GCP (or data center) virtual machines.

Blue Medora will co-present a session with Google Cloud at Next ‘19:

Thursday, April 11, 11:40-12:30 - Third-Party Data Visibility in Google Stackdriver with Google Cloud product manager Marie Cosgrove-Davies and Blue Medora CTO Mike Kelly.

Details on how to deploy BindPlane for Stackdriver can be found on our website.
