London, United Kingdom, April 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SNOMED International, the world’s most comprehensve healthcare terminology product, announced today that Dr. Cheemin Bo-Linn, SNOMED International Management Board Director, has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Directors in the United States by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) for her significant impact on board room practice and performance.
NACD, the authority on board room practices representing more than 20,000 corporate board members, announced Dr. Bo-Linn’s recognition as part of its 2019 NACD Directorship 100™, an honor that serves to highlight the most influential 50 board of directors and 50 corporate governance professionals and institutions.
Since 2007, an annual call for nominations has gone out to its 20,000 members, this year resulting in over 400 nominations received. Each board director nominee is a public company director and independent committee chair. He or she is evaluated in multiple rounds in consideration of the nominee’s merits and service against various metrics such as return on investment, shareholder return, reputation, and corporate governance. As the pool of nominees is narrowed to 50 board director nominees, the review process continues by the NACD editorial team and NACD senior leadership, before being presented to the NACD Board for ratification. “For decades, NACD has recognized individual directors who have demonstrated exemplary board leadership and courage in the board room,” said Peter R. In her capacity as SNOMED International Management Board Director, Dr. Bo-Linn has served the organization since April 2017 as part of a renewal process initiated by the organization to enhance SNOMED International’s effectiveness, sustainability, and organizational growth. Dr. Bo-Linn is CEO and President of Peritus Partners, Inc., an analytics-based platform and business IT consultancy recognized for increasing the valuation of companies and organizations, leading to the next level growth.
