I would not have used a quote from Herbert Hoover if I were trying to prove a point even though I think Hoover was a great American. And by the way 20+ years out of office Hoover headed the commission that took his name. That was good and important work (given the times) too. Nonetheless Hoover could not have been CEO of DECN, even the beleaguered CEO of DECN, because message board posters would find fault with him too, because Hoover the engineer would be the type of guy who obsessed over the less important, typos for example, and never understood that new products and entrepreneurial companies are a critical mass of seemingly unrelated accomplishments.
