About illegal immigrants/ health care cost. I feel both parties have let down the American people here. This should have been fixed 20 years ago.
Both I feel had reasons to allow this to happen and neither fixed it when they had full power as it has swayed back and forth over the years. I don't believe we can just look at healthcare cost. They are a total package. Many contribute in positive ways. So Americans are getting benefits in other ways, cheaper produce at the grocery store, what have you, but are stuck paying the health care cost.
At one time my ancestors immigrated poor into the US. That first generation might not have gave back as much as they got, but after 1 or 2 generations, the full benefit has more than paid back the original investment. It is an investment, that was rewarded now. The issue I feel is the sure size that has come is such a short time. Americans are immigrants, American needs immigrants, America should have had a process for this and not have turned a blind eye. Now we seem stuck with a problem neither side will comprise to fix.
My solution would start with give amnesty, create bigger legal way to bring larger numbers than currently allowed now, and build the wall, guaranteed, however big you want. Again, I'm not affiliated with either party, personally I think the 2 party system is the problem, everything is politicized. I have watched both MSNBC, CNN, and FoxNews in the past. I just want the problem fixed and that to me is a comprise neither side seems to think acceptable, which to me indicates it might be the right one.
