Tremendous amount of money..
Egc ,,,When I was in the hospital covering pediatric for emergency , in Brooklyn NY ,
sometimes drunk parents brought child with fractures or bruises , I was not sure if it is safe for a child to go home , than we call judge on call for permission to admit this child until situation is clear ..
Child was admitted , and for the next one or 2 weeks social service was evaluating if it safe to give this child to parents . no one look if hospital will be pay or not. Many were not legal emigrants ...
Safety of the child was always first , but expenses are astronomical , this is why hospitals are closing time to time..
And before someone will tell me that I am racist , my daughter in law came from Columbia , her and her 6 sisters and brothers are wonderful people , my nephew is engaged to girl from Philippine ,,
During party in my family it feel like United Nation ...
