Portfolio Management Changes

Mawer Investment Management Ltd. is pleased to announce the appointments of James Redpath, CFA, as the lead manager of the Mawer Canadian Bond and Mawer Canadian Money Market strategies, and Steven Visscher, CFA, as the lead manager of the Mawer Tax Effective Balanced strategy, effective July 1, 2019.

Mr. Redpath is currently the co-manager of the Mawer Canadian Bond and Mawer Canadian Money Market strategies and the lead manager of the Mawer Global Bond strategy. Mr. Visscher is currently the co-manager of the Mawer Balanced, Tax Effective Balanced and Global Balanced strategies.

Mr. Visscher will replace Travis Goldfeldt, CFA as lead manager of the Mawer Tax Effective Balanced strategy.

Michael Crofts to retire at the end of 2019

After 16 years with Mawer Investment Management Ltd., Michael Crofts, CFA, has made the decision to retire at the end of 2019. Mr. Crofts has been lead manager of the Mawer Canadian Bond strategy since 2004, lead manager of the Mawer Canadian Money Market strategy since 2007, and co-manager of the Global Bond strategy since 2015. Mr. Crofts will be replaced by current co-manager, James Redpath, CFA. Mr. Crofts will continue serving on the firm’s Board of Directors.
