As I have stated in my plethora of expert opinion posts over the past 12 months, the $TMPS tanker fleet will have no difficulty getting a contract eventually due to the ongoing US DoD tanker "gap" shortfall that will persist for the next 20+ years and a shortage of tankers generally worldwide (except for countries that bought the right replacement - A330 MRTT - at the correct time - UK, France and Australia).
I have never seen it as a competition with Omega - only by what date$TMPS can meet the readiness requirements at an acceptable cost.
In any event, $TMPS has multiple other multi-year, multi-$M special operations aircraft contracts that at any time might be added to as additional requirements emerge.
I do not believe that the sellers of the Tristar aircraft will be interested in getting less than $.52 for their shares - they sold the aircraft very cheaply as it was even at that valuation. The amount in question is not significant for an aircraft broker.
The games at present are pretty limited - probably only one person - and he will probably find that he doesn't get allowed to reload on the bid now that I'm keeping an eye on it all times.
