I fully recognize that the closer you take a product to approval the more you can partner it for, but an early partnership with BP in a potential blockbuster product would assure the survival of the company, and probably be worthy of a Nasdaq listing in a short period of time. Such a partnership may not bring in billions, or even hundreds of millions up front, but it would bring in enough to assure the company can bring other products forward, and more importantly, it would take over the approval process for that product. While the company would struggle to do a small Phase 2 or 3 in a limited number of clinical sites over an extensive period of time, a BP partner would have no qualms with opening hundreds of sites, if the FDA and/or other regulators said they wanted a trial with hundreds, or even thousands of patients to approve such a product.
I don't believe that working on many products with very limited funding is the right approach, temporarily put some on hold while emphasizing one, or perhaps two that are believed the closest to owning the intellectual property. Strive to get that BP partnership, and once that's done, everything else will fall into place.
BP has been slow to get on the bandwagon for cannabis based products, but with more and more places in the world accepting its use, I cannot believe that a potentially blockbuster drug can be ignored by them. I cannot say which company will jump in first, but if you own the IP rights, someone will join you in the development, or buy you out.
