I don't understand why the Democrats are pushing the New Green Deal created by the former bartender!
Eliminating airplanes is insane! That would kill the tourist industry and our AIR Force!
Eliminating fossil fuels eliminates hundreds of thousands of trucks that move our products across our country. How will food from California reach Chicago?
How will people get around cities without buses? Millions of people cannot afford an electric car or live in apartment buildings without parking available. How will they get around, get to work, groceries, etc?
And killing off those farting cows would put thousands of farmers and ranchers out of business. Of course farmers would need to return to using oxen to plow their fields.
All electric vehicles are great but where will the additional electricity to operate them come from?
Expanding high-speed rail to "a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary". (Take a look at what happened in CA and their failed attempt to build a high-speed train and the billions of dollars wasted.)
And a guaranteed job? There are millions who don't want to work and won't!
