People are celebrating the fact that they finally said completed in the Phase 1 Trial they did put in the clinical trials database, I pointed out that it was sitting there without being updated for years. If they would put each trial they anticipate running in the next year or two into the clinical trials database, everyone would get a far better picture of what they're intending to do. Remember, putting it there tells a great deal about the planning, it says what patient group will be tested, which is very important if you're looking sfor a sense of efficacy. In the Phase 1 which was run, it was clear that efficacy couldn't be addressed because the trial required the cream be tested with health patients. A Phase 1 can only demonstrate efficacy if it's tested in people having some medical problem where improvement can in some way be judged. Because it's not there, and the company has given us no guidance, when the sublingual tablet is tried, we won't know if the trial is only intended to show safety, or if efficacy can also be observed. Sure, there is a lot more that must be put into clinical trials, like when the trial is expected to start and finish, where it will be done, how many patients, etc. etc. I believe such information would be of interest to potential investors, as would hearing from the company by doing a webcast each time they release quarterly results.
My point is now, and has been for some time, that the company needs to be more open, like the biotech's they'd like to become, if they wish to be treated that way. A letter from the company twice a year, and hosting a visiting investor simply isn't hacking it.
