The oral rinse is not a few weeks as you state. It's 7 weeks!!!
We don't know Brilacidin works in the 1 week CISPLATIN group as it did in the 3 week CISPLATIN group.
If Bril-OM just works as you state it does then there would be NO NEED FOR 2 CISPLATIN ARMS!!!!!
We already know that Brilacidin-OM works, is the only drug that PREVENTS oral mucositis, is much cheaper and easier to administer than the IV drugs that other companies may be working on, that the FDA has guided IPIX to a plan for the clinical trial, that they set up an Irish subsidiary which will help them get the planned European trials going quickly.
And we know that the study period for people who will try this convenient oral rinse will be a few weeks, not many months or years like drugs for other conditions.
All of these factors are huge positives and indicate that the clinical trials will yield results very quickly.
And, the success of the Phase II trial shows that the chances that the drug will be approved by the FDA -- for a condition that has NO APPROVED DRUG -- is very high.
What else is there left to say about Bril-OM?
