Border Patrol rescue five migrants from snowy Santa Rita mountains
TUCSON, Ariz. - Border Patrol agents, Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office, (SCCSO), Department of Public Safety, and an Air and Marine Operation aircrew rescued five migrants on a snow covered mountain south of Tucson.
That's a lot of men, how much did this rescue cost taxpayers?
Late Wednesday, Tucson Sector Border Patrol received a 911 phone call from a helpless man along with four other individuals on the Santa Rita Mountains.
Early Thursday, Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office and rescue teams were also called out around 1:00 a.m.
All rescue groups had to delay rescue due to harsh weather conditions.
Five men; three Honduran and two Mexican national migrants were in distress and injured from freezing temperatures.
Agents were able to retrieve an AMO UH-60 (Blackhawk) helicopter equipped with a hoist to extract the men to a nearby road.
Green Valley Fire District took the men to a local hospital.
(Green Valley is 40 miles from the border!)
After the men are medically treated and discharged they will be processed from immigration violations.
( How did these 5 illegals get 40 miles from the border? Why didn't the drones alert BP? How many thousands of dollars of tax payer money were wasted on the rescue of these illegals? Helicopter rescue? Hospital treatment? Now to feed and care for these five invaders?

Agents Arrest Illegal Alien with Active Homicide Warrant
March 14, 2019
SAN DIEGO—Last week, Border Patrol agents arrested a group of six men who entered the United States illegally. One man was wanted for murder in Oaxaca, Mexico.
The incident occurred on Friday, March 8, at approximately 3:30 p.m., near Imperial Beach, Calif., when a scope operator notified agents that six individuals climbed the primary border fence and passed through a cut in the old secondary border fence.
Agents responded and apprehended six men just north of the secondary fence breach. With no documentation allowing them to remain in the U.S., the men were placed under arrest and transported to a nearby station.
Border Patrol agents ran record checks on the men which revealed that one of them, 26-year-old Mexican national Antonio Santiago-Ruiz, possessed an outstanding warrant for homicide issued by the State of Oaxaca, Mexico.
On March 13, in coordination with Mexico’s General Office of the Republic, Santiago-Ruiz was turned over to Mexican government officials at the San Ysidro port of entry due to his outstanding warrant.
San Diego Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodney Scott stated, “While criminals persist in their illegal activity, we too are persistent. The arrest of Antonio Santiago-Ruiz illustrates this well. We can be thankful that agents arrested this individual who attempted to escape justice.”
The five remaining men, three from Mexico, one from Honduras, and one from Guatemala, were processed for expedited removal.
