The only thing I can add to your well documented post Zpaul is that Bo Dietl would not have been allowed in the room if KTLS had not been approved by DISA for use in that try before buy exercise. Newbies, check out the number of Federal Departments/Agencies that attend those DISA meetings. I believe you will find that roster of interest. Also either RDY2ROK or Gold49er found the MITRE involvement in evaluation/testing.
