Long Post for Investors (redflix S2E16) Postin
Post# of 32639
Posting a redflix a little earlier for my friends in Europe. Those in North America have a few favorite beverages and enjoy later.
Those in EU - Wake up!
A lot of people PM'd me over the year and asked me to show them how to do DD
I said I would
Here's the start
More to come, but first...
Go back to the day you invested and remember the second reason why you chose to invest in VERB
Not what some blurryfaced, insecure person, that isn't invested, wants you to believe
We all know the first reason
You need to make money
But what was the second?
People forget
So much noise it's easy to forget
We used to play pretend, give each other different names
We would build a rocket ship and then we'd fly it far away
Used to dream of outer space but now they're laughing at our face
Saying, "Wake up, you need to make money"
I say, "Wake up, you need to do DD!"
So many pretending to care what you think
So many hoping to turn back their flipping machine
So many flippers stressed out
I pause from time to time to go back and reflect
Is my second reason still valid?
Is your second reason still valid
Has anything changed, for the positive or negative?
It's a simple process for me
I didn't invest in VERB on a whim
Maui knows this as he told me about the company over a period of time, but I need to do research first
I don't make investment decisions in a hour or day or a week. I know some do. I don't.
Needed to research some points:
1.) Do interactive videos drive additional value over traditional static videos?
That took about 20 minutes to find facts. No brainier as they say. You read my comparison posts about - Does sound add value to a movie, you get how interactivity will continue to evolve video
2.) Can VERB create and implement the technology to drive interactive videos globally?
This was a lot harder to research. On one hand you had idiots that come along and talk about how easy it is and other companies that have been trying to do it for years.
The fact is it's really hard to do. I said as much a year ago and been in this space a long time.
The BW argument is this is really easy to do.
Oh really? Then why doesn't Oracle and everyone else do it?
Hmmm, because no one wants interactive videos
LOL, did you see point number #1 above?
And into the spin cycle they go
3.) Would consumers use it?
Another tough one. The benefits of exercise and exercise equipment is proven, but many people don't do it and there are basements filled equipment pouring out unrequited love for their owners.
I asked the same question about instagram and snapchat
Would people really use it?
VERB learned a few things along the way
It has to be very simple
It has to be frictionless
I believe they nailed it
4.) Would it be priced right?
At $10/mo, it's affordable for the masses. Those that can't afford that, can use the free version.
Don't underestimate the power of free. I've been talking about that for a long, long time. Now VERB has free. That is a very good thing.
5.) What does the competition look like?
I searched and searched. I believe I found every company that does interactive videos. What I found is they are expense and for the most part customer one off media.
There is a well known company that will charge you up to 1/2 million. A lot less than that but still nothing for the masses.
On my companies Intranet 10+ years ago, we had walkouts. The end result has been around a long time. The "How" has not nor the price point. We spent thousands of dollars.
6.) Is it a product or is it a company?
Meaning is it a one trick pony or can the same idea & technology be applied across multiple solutions and industries.
I could see the answer in Oct. 2018 when it wasn't so obvious. Others could as well. Those that could bought everything they could at .08. I know I did and continued to buy into the $2.## range.
7.) What are the comps?
That was the hardest. That's why it's at the end.
You almost have to be in this space to do comps. Someone posted Pitney Bowes the other day. If you don't know Pitney Bowes as well as I do and this space, the average investor won't know what to think.
To do comps you have to find pure SaaS companies. SaaS is Software as a Service and general means you are offering a cloud solution on a monthly or annual subscription basis.
It's the most lucrative model out there and is why Microsoft, Adobe and mean giants even re-architected their products to fit this model
So here you go. Click on the link and get to work. Did some of the work for you already. Keep in mind the space VERB is in is not the same as these. The CRM space is hot because the ROI is off the charts when you are a company looking to maximize your salesforce.

I've learned a few things over the year after 31 episodes of redflix.
Not too many Deep Purple fans
Love the riff in this one and the lyrics
It's called Perfect Strangers
For those that don't like Deep Purple
Took a jump through Mississippi
Well, muddy water turned to wine
Took a jump through Mississippi
Muddy water turned to wine
Yeah, yeah
Then out to California through the forests and the pines
Ah, take me with you, Rory
Yeah, yeah
Workin' from one end to the other and all points in between
You might not see him in person
But he'll see you just the same
You might not see him in person
But he'll see you just the same
Yeah, yeah
You don't have to worry 'cause takin' care of business is his name
