Oh and one more thing, companies with something to sell, whether it is a product, a technology, or a concept, meet with their targets and never once in any meeting is stock price talked about, never once are shareholders talked about, never once are message board posters talked about. Sit back, watch and learn. Perhaps soon you will no longer be mired in DECN stock, if you own any at all.

I doubt I need to learn anything from you about biotechs. You seem stuck in the world of diabetes medical equipment. Perhaps you are knowledgable in that field or perhaps you are a pretender. Your vibe resonates with an over-inflated ego of an insider or someone that knows someone that knows someone.
Share price is of minimal concern when a Pharmaceutical Company is evaluating a potential buy out of another Company. Profit models drive those valuations. Platinum Equity is a Hedge Fund of sorts, and as such, they also would evaluate potential profit but also be very keen on value and DECN share price and financial woes would factor in much so more than a big Pharmaceutical if DECN is for sale.
As to your writedown statement, I am not arguing with you as you could be accurate. I asked how do you know that Platinum Equity is doing that. Platinum would have auditors evaluate the business knowing the sales decline. They obviously were comfortable with the $2 billion dollar sale and were aware of decreasing sales and competition.
This is simple, do you have access to Platinum Equity's auditors or are you a client that has seen any internal clients reports suggesting what you stated?
Analysts do not have any access to Platinum Equity's financials. They do not know what cost-cutting measures or synergies have transpired or will transpire, Sales, or Analysts projections on what LifeScan sales are or are not are conjecture. The profits that LifeScan is generating are private also. I do not see any reporting of sales or profit on the Platinum Equity website as it relates to LifeScan.
If you have concrete information you can share that would be great. I feel that the next event that may help the, dare I write it. price per share will be if the appeal is successful.
If DECN can help LifeScan or there is a potential for a buyout that is great. But where is this coming from, you? I would rather be a half full type personality even with 70% losses than a bitter self appointed know it all.
