Why aren't these in PRs?? Why do we have to uncover them??
I'll tell you why. I talked with SFOR VP George Waller this week about this exact subject.
My question for George was: Why doesn't SFOR doesn't advertise all it's myriad of connections with channel partners, distributors, etc., in lots of PR's, and articles?
My thinking was that if SFOR could connect the dots for potential investors (e.g. DSS/ACS/SFOR) instead of letting investors try to figure out the connections for themselves, that this would quickly lead to more people discovering SFOR and buying SFOR stock and would lead to a much higher PPS.
George said that SFOR (and partners) are entirely focused on making big deals (as they should be) and not on the SFOR stock price. He said that touting those connections would be a real deal-killer. For example: company y makes a deal with company x, for a product that uses SFOR's (company z's) underlying patented software. But company y doesn't know about, or hasn't necessarily thought that much about company z. Touting the connection, might make company y nervous, in terms of making a deal, because now they have to vet two companies instead of one.
Also, if the connection was clearly advertised, company y might try to go behind company x's back and make a cheaper deal with company z (SFOR), ruining SFOR's relationships with its distributors and channel partners.
So SFOR's strategy is to keep a low profile (and let everyone figure out the connections for themselves).
The downside of this (for investors like us, but not for the company) is that unless people do a lot of DD, they might not discover and buy SFOR stock. We noticed that yesterday. DSS stock was up 50+ percent, but SFOR was only up 16%, -even though DSS is using SFOR's underlying technology.
All this might seem like a reason to doubt SFOR. But, believe me, SFOR management knows exactly what they are doing!
