Trump roasts Blumenthal from Vietnam: 'He was never even there'
President Trump on Wednesday mocked Sen. Richard Blumenthal by saying he's now spent more time in Vietnam than the Democratic senator who lied repeatedly about serving in the Vietnam War.
"I have now spent more time in Vietnam than Da Nang Dick Blumenthal, the third rate Senator from Connecticut (how is Connecticut doing?)," Trump tweeted from Vietnam. "His war stories of his heroism in Vietnam were a total fraud - he was never even there."
"We talked about it today with Vietnamese leaders!" Trump added.

Trump has ridiculed Blumenthal for months after the Democrat became a vocal critic of the Trump administration.
Blumenthal said over the previous decade that he served in Vietnam, but he never did serve in the war. Instead, he got several deferments that kept him out of the war.
