Insys may develop something similar but how far behind are they right now...granted any new mj therapies will absolutely not take 12 years to be granted patents.. They may have already been working on something but it's risky at best as development takes time and money and why develop a drug if you're not sure it will be able to be patented and marketed..A risk at best but not so much of one for a company with deep pockets.
GW opened the door and as we all know MJ is now coming into the light of day as an acceptable alternative to other pharmaceuticals...some which don't work like all of the current therapies available for fibromyalgia..or in the case of Epidolex may lose their potency over time because they are synthetic based...this was only one study so far that shows synthetic cannabis may have a limited shelf life...it's early days.
