Thinking it over, if anything had gone wrong with the spinoff or dividend, then I feel certain we would have gotten a PR. Lately they have been scrupulous about sharing delays asap. So not getting a PR is comforting in a way.
Also, didn't someone mention that we could be in some sort of quiet period? I know that is usually before earnings and before an IPO date, but maybe they are being extra cautious here.
