Definition of a penny stock biotech startup investor: HIGH STAKES GAMBLER.
The above is one statement I believe both sides can pretty much agree on. If so, these investors have to have a certain amount of money set aside for such investments and if they lose it que sera sera.
On the other hand, we have quite a number who have invested in IPIX far and away too heavily and have non-discretionary funds in play. For them, I hope things work out well and IMO it will.
On the upside, absolutely massive returns could be realized.
Assume such a high stakes player invested $14,000 tomorrow and picked up 100K shares. IPIX gets a deal, as many surmise it will, within the next few weeks and IPIX gets upfront money that ends all money worries for 3 years or so such that a great number of further Brilacidin indications can be forwarded (such as dermatology indications via a topical cream) and Kevetrin pill is formulated and tested and becomes an important complementary player in a number of various cancer trials or studies. The resulting stock price I will assume is $4 which IMO is extremely conservative. Now that $14,000 gamble has turned into $400,000 (with even greater profits staring them in the face over the next few years as further indications shown commercial and company decides to sell a whole platform or the whole company which would obviously be for multiple Billions). Don't know many stocks where that is even dreamed as possible but with IPIX such is the case.
So right now IMO this is the perfect stock for HIGH STAKES GAMBLERS. Compare the upside to the downside. On the downside, assume the company is dissolved. At the worst, even if it could only get .07 per share (I am looking on the extreme worst case scenario as an example)he would only lose half his investment, $7,000.
So we have a loss of $7000 as the worst case scenario and $386,000 as the gain with even higher returns possible. For a high stakes gambler, who wouldn't take a chance on such an investment.
I know I have invested more than this since IPIX dropped into the teens, my latest buys being today and more tomorrow. I acknowledge the risk but feel the PRs this year can only lead to a first partnership within a handful of weeks at the most. Still sleeping quite well at night with visions of sugarplums dancing thru my head as it is going to be a very, very early Christmas for IPIX investors this year IMO.
