Post# of 35791
Copperstone today was awarded additional exploration permits from the Mining Inspector, regarding more than 8,000 ha in Arvidsjaur municipality. The permits concern Sandberget 400 (535ha) and Sandberget 500 (7641ha), which were reapplied for as Copperstone received the Eva k nr 1 exploitation concession. There have been some minor carve-outs of exploitation concession buffer zones and a newly established nature area (Stor-Sandberget). Earlier during the winter, renewal approvals were awarded Copperstone regarding Sandberget 200 and Sandberget 300 (regarding years 6-10). The exploration permits are valid for three years from today’s date and subject to a usual three-week objection period from land and sake owners. “Copperstone has good long term intentions in Norrbotten, stands for active exploration in an area of significant mineral potential. We are very happy to have all relevant permits back. We are now moving ahead with the development of this area, where we have unlocked the significant potential during the last couple of years", comments Copperstone CEO Michael Mattsson.
