Yes, you are correct, however, it primarily depends on whether the suit is being filed in criminal or civil court. Criminal can take longer due to more internal bureaucracy and processes, civil appears much more streamlined. After selling my business, I obtained my PI license and current have an agency. I do not do a lot of them, but I do a few dozen per year as they are not a huge money maker. it is not a complicated process and personal experience is that most are served within a matter of a few days and it has never taken me longer than 2 weeks to serve. Yes, some can take longer, but i believe they are the few. I guess my point is that I do question if suit has actually been filed, and lean more towards that it was threats made that probably have not been followed up on.
Now, having stated that, I did have a thought of the possibility that the attorney is having him wait to allow the bashers to continue their antics so as to build a stronger case by compiling more evidence and to prove greater damages, which would not be uncommon for an attorney to advise depending on the case details. (at least from my experience) I really hope that this is in fact the case. But in a civil case, it just is not that complicated and does not take long from filing to serving and I believe there is possibly another dynamic in play with this issue. If he dose not file suit and allow them to get away with it: it would truly be a travesty to him, his family and we investors. As always, based on my opinion and experience only. GLTA
