Then, make sure that you put that QUOTE of someone's message, in the QUOTE box. You do this by clicking on the blue box on the left of the box where you're typing your message -- the box that says QUOTE. This gives you a pair of brackets enclosing "quote" and the end-quote " / quote" phrases, like this --
[ quote ] [ / quote ]
You type the quote in between the bracketed pairs, and that makes it clear to everyone what the quoted material is.
BUT -- I am concerned about copyright violations which could put the Hangout at risk. Please do not copy ENTIRE posts. It is "fair use" to quote PARTS of a post, but not the whole thing.
I think that it is best NOT to quote posts at all -- how about just a reader's digest summary of the BS, if you feel like you just have to post it?
I think that I and many others would prefer not to have the basher slime brought over here at all, except when someone's post rebutting a lie is posted here for the record. In that case, how about posting something like this:
