A few folks have been asking me privately again what I think IPIX is worth. With the failure of Prurisol and all the uncertainty about actual licensing prospects, our current market cap is not surprising. The market is not a fool.
Losing P has cut our pipeline potential, and our high cost of capital has increased our expected share count. These negatively impact share value, which is based on expected future FCF per share.
There is still economic value in IPIX. A good deal for B OM+IBD could get us back over $100MM fully diluted MC. That's $.50 per share. I think we'll get a deal, but it will take a good part of the year since it appears we've taken a step back from the negotiation stage announced earlier. Hopefully the upcoming 10Q will clarify this. I'm confident enough of the prospects for a B deal that I will be using a piece of my bonus to buy another 250,000 shares over the coming weeks. I think these share prices make it a worthwhile risk.
