I am not GI expert but as far as I know ,IBD is auto-immune , "incurable" but chronic( forever lasting) condition for which treatment is taken permanently and it's all depends on type ( Crohn's vs UC vs others) and severity
Drug delivery was always dependent on disease location and precise, intestine PH environment ( dissolve in different parts of GI tract ) is crucial
steroids and aminosalicylates are standard
So anything new ( B-IBD) ,offering chronicity of the conditions without number of potential ASE's ( adverse side effects) is an huge asset
IMO
