Housing & Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson joined David Webb on "Reality Check" on Fox Nation to discuss the issues with some on the left suddenly pushing a socialist agenda.
Webb said that people like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) "want to go back to the past [where socialism] hasn't worked."
Carson said that figures pushing socialist policies like to tell the wealthy to "pay their fair share."
"They never answer 'what is their fair share?'," Carson said, adding that the top 1 percent pay more than 30 percent of federal taxes.

Carson said that America is the "last place on Earth" where political factions should be fighting about economics.
He praised the capitalist system and contrasted formerly capitalist Venezuela to the rapid deterioration of the country under the late Hugo Chavez and current leader Nicolas Maduro.
"Venezuela was a beautiful place. Look what happened to it in a very short period of time," he said.
Carson said those pushing left-wing economic policy should study history and "stop being driven by hatred... and envy."
