of ICE Agents From Long Island Jail < >
A Long Island, New York police union is warning that the removal of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from a county jail would be a deadly mistake.
The warning comes after Nassau County Executive Laura Curran called to evict ICE agents from the county's Correctional Center by the end of the month, according to Newsday.
Curran also reportedly announced Tuesday that six federal agents would be relocated to a nearby medical center instead.
James McDermott, president of the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association, said Wednesday on Fox & Friends that there was an "uproar" following Curran's announcement.
