1. The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will remain open and operational with sufficient staff necessary to perform all functions
necessary to support the exercise of the judicial power in the resolution of cases under Article III of the United States Constitution .
2.Absent a grant of either a motion for extension of time or a motion to stay
in a particular case, all court filing deadlines remain in effect. The court’s electronic filing system (CM/ECF) will remain in operation for the electronic filing of all documents. Paper filings will continue to be accepted by mail and in person.
3. Oral arguments will continue to be heard as scheduled. Counsel should not anticipate that any case will be removed from an argument calendar due to the partial government shutdown. Any motion filed in a particular case requesting rescheduling of an argument will be transmitted to the panel assigned to hear the case.
