VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 21, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association for Mineral Exploration (AME) has set the precedent for gender diversity at the highest level in the workplace for the Mineral Exploration and Mining Industry with their 2019 Board of Directors.
With statistics such as only 19.5% of board members for Canada’s top 500 companies being women¹, the importance of a strong, collaborative and diverse board is both refreshing and an important part of AME’s values of inclusive leadership.
Collectively, the new board boasts a wealth of varied expertise from professional geologists and company leaders. The Directors include senior executives from Amarc Resources Ltd., Independence Gold Corp, Kirk Environmental, IDM Mining, Raymond James, Seabridge Gold Inc., Sun Metals Corp and Teck Resources Ltd. We welcome law professionals, innovative business leaders and the founders of Below BC, VRify and Indigenous and business leaders from the Tahltan Central Government and Nisga’a Nation.
