Fox & Friends First" host Rob Schmitt tracked down Sen. Bob Menendez in Puerto Rico Monday after the New Jersey lawmaker was photographed on a beach amid the partial government shutdown.
About 30 Democratic lawmakers traveled to Puerto Rico -- with their families and lobbyists -- for the retreat over the weekend, and Schmitt was in San Juan to report on the trip.
Republicans were quick to criticize their Democratic colleagues for the retreat, which included a special performance of the hit Broadway show "Hamilton." A photo of Menendez (D-N.J.) shirtless on a beach went viral Sunday
