PM Theresa May 'Shellacked' in Brexit Deal Vote
United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May "got a shellacking" from the Parliament on Tuesday when her "Brexit deal" vote there failed by a historic margin.
"The 'ayes' to the right 202. The 'noes' to the left 432," boomed House of Commons Speaker John Bercow, announcing that many in May's Conservative Party joined with the opposition left-wing Labour Party to oppose her deal.
In order for the United Kingdom to exit the European Union on March 29 in a smooth manner, a "deal" must be reached as to how to handle trade issues, and other things involving intercontinental commerce.
Smith said that without a deal approved by Parliament, Brexit will be like "a divorce with no agreement of what to do with anything [like] kids or property."
"The United Kingdom is on the edge of chaos -- politically, economically and socially," he said.
Left-wing opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn of the Labour Party called for a vote of "no confidence" against May.
She barely survived a similar vote in 2016. If May loses her no-confidence vote Wednesday, she must call for an election or resign her post at 10 Downing Street.

Smith reported that millions of Britons could lose their jobs and that the repercussions of a rough Brexit could affect the world writ large.
Stock markets in America and elsewhere may be affected by the uncertainty.
May's government has until Monday to successfully pass a "Plan B" for a smooth Brexit.
The government could also propose a re-vote to see if Britons want to reconsider exiting the Union.United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May "got a shellacking" from the Parliament on Tuesday when her "Brexit deal" vote there failed by a historic margin.
