Mercury Insurance, headquartered in Los Angeles, only offers an app to manage accounts. No app that shows hard breaking, speeding, mileage tracking, etc., like other insurance companies offer. bSafeMobile provides all of the above, plus prevents distracted driving.
Though smaller than other auto insurance companies, they offer policies in 4 of the top 5 states with registered drivers and 6 in the top 10. Had revenue of over 3 billion in 2015, employs 4,500 people, and has over 8,000 independent agents in 11 states. In 2018 Mercury was award as a top 5 auto insurer by Insure.com finishing ahead of better-known providers such as Progressive, Geico, and Farmers.
