I remember a couple of years back when "blinking" was much discussed as a problem.
The development of forming outer shells around the core of the dot was then announced and it went away.
This seems likely to me that this phenomenon would naturally be noticed/developed as a result of continued research into improving production methods and results.

Also, I am under the impression that colloidal QD's like QMC sells are not used in Q-computers; that those (and quantum wells) are made directly within the atomic matrix of the of the chip/device.
Is that right?
