Like Trump, you are conflating a border wall with border security. A ten to twenty foot steel slated structure can be climbed when no border security is present. When improved drone and camera tech is available, it is a more cost-effective way to monitor illegal crossings along with repairing present infrastructure. Couple that with hiring and training additional border patrol and you add to the economy and get people working.
