A couple of things I learned as the ceo or managing entity was: it all stopped at my doorstep, regardless of how many bumps, blocks or other unforeseen elements came into play and yes their were bumps, blocks and unforeseen issues along the way. it is just a part of business and I am ok with that, but the excuse is only viable for a period of time and not a catch all at any time along the way. After this comes the second thing I learned which is what my mother always told me when I was young and starting out in business as I would always say what i was going or wanted to do. she would say "no one cares about what you are going to do, they only care about what you have done". I found that advise to be so true and so applicable in every aspect, even as an employee, looking for a job as the employer was interested in my accomplishments, not what I wanted to do.
Twitter is great, but not a replacement for well deserved and planned PR's. Twitter is great for those meetings and stuff, but only if they are followed up with what happened, good or bad. Unfortunately, I think that currently twitter use is not helping and may even be aiding the advantage for flippers and bashers.
Not criticizing SB's many accomplishments, and their have been many, or lessening the potential of future catalysts, but I am questioning communications and their affects on not only the PPS, but the image of the company. I believe the current communication strategy is failing for the company, the pps and the investors. I do not doubt the future and I do not doubt the benefits of patience in these plays, but they are all not an excuse for what is in fact failing and needs repair. Yes, I am confident in our company, product, future and SB, but cannot excuse away what is not working and needs to be addressed and adjusted so that it is working. Understandably, a ceo does not control the pps, but they do and can in fact influence it. Like it or not, if accomplishments are to be laid at the feet of the ceo, so are the failures and necessary corrections. Take this as a bash if you must, but I fully believe in the future and all my share while not as large as most here will not be sold until the time is right. GLTA
