I would have to double check but I think SB initially set up Hexagon Holdings as an LLC. The cost is minimal and his personal assets are well protected.

It cost him $50 to set up the LLC in CO and $10 per year for Periodic Reports. And yes, if your are going into the MJ business it's easier to be in a state that already has the infrastructure set up to handle new applicants.
