I think the whole process had more to do with two signatures he needed for releases than actual "negotiation" of the debt. The debt to be paid was always $2000. DE just displays large numbers to shock and intimidate companies. SB would have been able to pay the $2000 in January 2018 if money was the only issue, right?

drag it out .you cant say .hey i am paying $2000 .stock wont go up. the way steve did it .is he made believe he is paying big debt ...dragged it out 2 weeks ..driving stock price up.
