Well it's been over four years since B-ABSSSI blew away Daptomycin in phase 2b. The company opted to "maximize" shareholder value by holding off on pursuing a partnership on that in favor of pursuing additional phase 2 trials.. Thus far that strategy has maximized our outstanding share count and minimized most of our portfolios (at least the IPIX portion).
I don't know if it can be categorized as wildly successful - I think that would have entailed a BTD being granted. We simply were given collaborative guidance and permission to proceed to phase 3 - successful but nothing wild about it.
I'd love to see that partnership before the end of the year. So would the market.
