I have a ton of shares in my cash acct along w/ th

I have a ton of shares in my cash acct along w/ the ROTHs for my wife and I am going to take $14K worth of shares in my cash acct and move them to my ROTH acct as the tax advantage will be monstrous since it should be around 150K shares IMO if we don't get any partnership news between now and the first week of Jan.

Calling up E*Trade to see if I can get that to happen (I don't really care about possibly losing the tax loss on some shares due to buying back within 30 days of selling for a loss), I just want all those shares totally tax free. Will let everyone know what E*Trade tells me as if a number of people do it on the open market could jolt the share price up appreciably and really cut into the amt of shares one could transfer.

I am trying to get E*Trade to allow me to basically sell the shares to myself and they report the trade to the IRS but the shares never go on the open market so that I am not in danger of trying to buy them back and they go up significantly in price.
